Hiring me
If you’ve read all of this, and are still thinking of sending me an email, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
If you are a developer building multiple buildings a year and are looking to assess your risk and come up with some big picture design standards that will apply to all of your projects I’d love to help you do that. While I don’t have the capacity to review every single drawing set in a whole portfolio of commercial projects, we can come up with some standard details and specifications related to roofing systems, amenity decks, balcony waterproofing, windows, and below-grade waterproofing that can be provided to your architects, contractors, and third-party consultants to guide their work.
If you’re looking for residential consulting, you’re in luck! I love that work! I limit my consulting to about three or four residential projects per year so that each one gets the attention it deserves. I don’t bill hourly. Ever. We’ll settle on a scope of work for a fixed fee, and I’ll invoice you based on an estimate of the percentage of the work completed. Phone calls are included. Emails are included. You’ll never get a bill for 15 minutes of consulting. An architect should never hesitate to call, or try to “save up” questions until there are enough to warrant a meeting. Interesting and extraordinary houses require lots of coordination, and the architect should consider me part of the design team—because I am, and it is my pleasure!
